Team TASH – October 2019 Updates

Apparently a quiet month, October had, in fact, brought many great results, especially for some of our youngest archers.

Malcolm Alexander and Fiona Hirst both shot at the Lasswade combined FITA and at the Links Archers WA 2x18m. Fiona took bronze at Lasswade and gold at Links.

Robert Guy won the last round of the field masters tour and matched the Welsh record with a maximum 560 out of 560.

Euan Pride attended the Scottish U21 indoor championships at Montrose. He shot 561 in the morning and 566 in the afternoon and won U18 Compound Boys and overall Junior Compound Boys.

Sinead Byrne has been selected again this year for Archery GB Compound National Development Squad and also for the Archery GB Compound National Youth Squad.

Ieuan Thomas had an awesome weekend shooting in FMT 6 hosted by North Gwent Archers! He set a new Welsh Record for a Marked Animal round of 560/560, maxing the round for the first time.

Rebekah Tipping was spotted at the Beiter Hit-Miss Tournament.

Mirran Yule competed in the indoor Scottish U21 and novice championships. She obtained a new PB and was overall junior highest scorer and overall junior female Scottish champion. At the Lasswade combined 25m / 18m WRS Mirran got Gold and overall junior champion with 2 new Scottish records.

Oliver Robinson was shooting for Lancashire Juniors in the 5 Counties Shoot and trained at Archery GB talent development in Lillieshall.

Jasmine Simpson placed second on both days of the Hampshire Clout, claiming gold metric and blue imperial tassels. She also placed second at the Fakenham Metric Clout, 8th at nationals and won both days of the Hertfordshire clout as well as claiming a red imperial tassel and a master bowman classification.

Shannon Benton competed at Archery Irelands 3D National Championships – hosted by Wicklow Archery Club. Shannon shot in the Barebow Cadet Female category and won.

Megan Costall won the U18 Junior Girls Welsh Junior Indoor Championship, last weekend, shooting a 555.

Adam Miller attended the 57th Annual Laleham Albion and came second.

Rachael Hurle got a trio of Silvers from Thanet’s RS Portsmouth/Worcester.
