TEAM TASH - APRIL 2019 UPDATES

Let’s take a look on our Sponsored Team’s efforts and amazing results!

It looks like the outdoor season was all our sponsored archers were waiting for. Shooting new equipment, wining lots of national and international competitions, training devotedly for the competitions to come and having a lot of fun within this wonderful family: the archery community.

Let’s take a look on their efforts and amazing results!

Yulia Larkins won the first place at day one in Ladies Recurve category and Gold in Ladies category for day two of West Essex Bowmen – Annual World Record Status Double 70m/50m FITA In Aid of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust – charity shoot. On April 20 – 21st she participated in Fita 2000 competition at Chippenham Archers, doing a combined two days full Fita. “I definitely will be coming to this brilliant shoot next year! Extra happy points for achieving 3 new GMB scores for this year and winning 4 tournaments in a row with my beautiful new Win&Win bow.” On April 7th, she came first in the Ladies recurve category at Meriden Archery Club Spring WA1440. PB of 1284 and a first GMB score of the season done! 

Brett Stringer got the 1st place at barebow category with an amazing score, at West Essex Bowmen – Annual World Record Status Double 70m/50m FITA In Aid of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust – charity shoot.

Michael Kells had also a fun weekend at West Essex Bowmen – Air Ambulance Double 720. He took the Silver, managing 2nd place in the first day, with a 690, and 2nd place in the second day, with a 680. He shot also at at Meriden 1440.

Rachel Vines won the 1st place at the Andover Saxon Shoot with a new PB for the Hereford round, 2nd place at the Chippenham Double WA1440 with new PB for the Ladies WA1440 round, and 1st place at the Bath WA1440.

Rebekah Tipping represented the University of Birmingham in her first ever individual match on a finals field this, at Veronica’s Cup, in Slovenia and won the 4th place. She also participated in her first WA1440 of the season and shoot a PB by 2 points. 

Gergo Deak participated in the West Essex Bowmen – Annual World Record Status Double 70m/50m FITA In Aid of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust – charity shoot, with MK bow. 

Lizzie Foster had only been back shooting for about 5 weeks and won the 720 and h2h at Thirsk.

Jon Parris participatetd in his first county match of the year.

Andy Brooks won the 1st place at Tri Corners County WA1440 where he shot a new PB of 1371 – 90m. He also shot at Belvior Archers Double 720 where he finished second in very tricky conditions with a 672 and a 680. 

Euan Pride competed in the Milnes Portsmouth on April 20th and won his U16 compound category.

Ieuan Thomas came 1st in the Young Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited category at the Welsh Field Masters Tour Round 2.

Harry McKeown had a brilliant shot at Meriden Archery Club – 90 & 70.

Jack Lucas took the Gold medal at Kirby Muxloe and also shot a Bristol 1 at Wolverhampton and manged to score a personal best. “Great start to the outdoor season.”

Wendy Aubrey joint 1st place in Kirby Muxloe First WA1440 of the season, with a solid MB score. She also won the 2nd place at Dearne Valley over the Easter weekend, establishing a new Lancashire record with a new PB and first field MB score

Michael Aubrey took the Gold at Kirby Muxloe First WA1440 of the season, and the Gold at Albion – Gents compound. He also won the Gold with a new PB at Deanne Valley field shoot.

Bethany Sinclair came 1st at her category at the annual Crystal Palace Bowmen shoot and she had also completed an Invicta coaching seminar. 

Mirran Yule took the Gold medal and smashed the junior Windsor Scottish record by 63 points at the St Andrews Silver Arrow. 

Ben Gibson came 3rd in his category (AMFU) at IFAA Hunter Round held by Kilmore Archery Club on 27th April, and got his first A class score with a new personal best. 

Anna Hunter came first in her category (AFBHR) at the same competition – IFAA Hunter Round held by Kilmore Archery Club.

Oliver Robinson (junior) came 2nd in the Virtual Archery League Shooting in an adult league (Division 5).

Saffron Cullen won Bronze at the Irish Indoor National Championships.

Jaime Rodrigues took part in the 2nd National Grand Prix City of Toledo, on April 6th.

Katsaitis Panagiotis had his first outdoor competition and shot a new PB – 627/720 (last PB was 626/720).

Mandi Theron shot her Personal Best, 2 days in a row, at the South Africa IFAA Indoor Nationals in Pretoria. She also shot the North Gauteng Indoor Championships after the big change in her setup (amazing new Gray AIX riser with dampbridge and new Decut Sight Pin) and got the Silver.

Magnus Fredriksson came in 1st place with a perfect score of 560 point (Swedish record) in the rules of Sfsf-archery (not world archery) and won the 2nd place in the first outdoors unknown distance 3D competition for 2019, in Tibro – Sweden. Hot days, highest class competitors (one of them – the one who got the 1st place – came in the 5th place in the European championship 2018 and others were part of the Swedish national team and the Norwegian national team).

Mark Sharvin was selected to represent Ireland at the World Championships during the summer.

Fiachra McDermott represented Ireland at the European Grand Prix event in Bucharest, Romania – April 8th– 13th. He also won two Silver and a Bronze medal in the intervarsity league here among the colleges which finished on the 6th of April.

Jurgen Hoxha participated in European Grand Prix – Bucharest, Romania and in South Outdoor Festival, Albania.

Märt Oona won the last available quota place for the European Games in Minsk.

Itay Shany shot in the European Grand Prix in Bucharest, Romania. Qualified 49th with a PB of 651; he lost the first match of eliminations, but switched gears and finished 6th in the quota tournament the next day to win a spot for Israel in Minsk. 

Jasmine Simpson won the Kettering Clout (she was 11 points away from breaking the National record for the single clout); shot 3 personal bests for individual distances and for a metric 2 at the Worcestershire county trials and then won both days of the Yorkshire Archery Association Clout. She also achieved a Master Bowman score for the Metric Clout.

Luke Davis came 1st at Andover archers Saxon shoot. He cared 1286 out of 1296 with 139 golds out of 144.

Peter Webb finished 3rd in the Redhill Archers WRS Double WA70.

Samsul Hussain shot another WA 70 at Double 720 (wrs) Air Ambulance charity shoot, with MK bow. He scored 566 (new PB) in the morning session and claim 550 award, and 538 in the afternoon session. Almost 6 gold end badge twice. 

Adam Miller attained the 1st place in club Frostbite league, set a new record for the club Long Warrick round, and attended the Pagoda shoot at Royal Richmond Archers. 

Martin Krusche won the 1st place at BAB Buttercup 3D shoot Ballyvally Archers Banbridge (BAB) Loughbrickland – Compound Man.
