May has been a great month – everybody went out shooting. Here are the highlights.

May has been a great month – everybody went out shooting. Here are the highlights:


◦ Chris Baigent attended the Waterside FITA weekend and managed to win the WA70, Head 2 Head and the WA1440 and got the 2nd Grand Master Bowmen score of the year. He shot the Southern County Archery Meeting in Winchester and won it for a 4th year coming away.
◦ Andrew Clark Won the Gent recurve category and the Diana trophy at the “Diana Shoot”.
◦ Dominic Collis won the SEAL friendly and retain his title for the second year in a row.
◦ Malcolm Alexander got his 2nd MB score of the season at the UK Masters.
◦ Charlie Birch broke a 3 year old PB at the Masters and took home her first ever GMB score.
◦ Ian brown had a great weekend at the All British Championship taking Golds at the Spring Championship, English Championship and The All British Championship. Also took Gold as part of the English National Team. 
◦ Ian was also at Daventry for the John Hartfield Memorial / English Archery Federation Field Championship shoot, where he won Gold in the John Hartfield shoot off and Gold in the English Field Championship.
◦ Bill Chapman scored his 3rd MB score of the season at Bowmen of Glen
◦ Eleonore Cossade scored her PB on the WA1440 at the Masters.
◦ Chris Groom shot at the Deer Park 720 H2H and finished on the 4th place.
◦ Brad Howe won gold at SBHC 2018 and his second national title of the year.
◦ Anthony Wood won the Bronze medal at Chelmsford Archery Club.
◦ Marcus yeoman, hosted by Redruth Archers won the Double 720, he also picked up 3 county records from the indoor season. 

A special mention to our wonderful juniors who did really well:


◦ Sophie Castle came 1st at Middlesex with 1167 and at Vigo Kent invite scoring 1213. She also became junior master U18 champion congratulations!
◦ Alex Moss competed in his first competition and managed to win the junior section.
◦ Jasmine Simpson attended several competitions this month including Waterside Archers
◦ Roisin Mooney shot in leg 3 and 4 of the Irish Series and won the event on Saturday.
◦ Luke Davis came first at Devizes Bowmen and also won the best junior boys score.
◦ Oliver Robinson won the first place in under 12 compound category at the Yorkshire Archery Association.
◦ Bethany Sinclair won the Gravesend Jubilee shoot under the junior ladies recurve category.
