Here are the April’s highlights:
• Malcolm Alexander came 3rd in Northern Area Gents Recurve
• Chris Baigent won the Andover Archers Saxon Shoot York, making that 4 years in a row and getting his 1st Master Bowmen score of the year. He also got a trophy at the Southampton spring Clout and managed his first GMB score of the year.
• Emily Blake had a great start to the outdoor season at the 400th anniversary silver arrow. Sunny day, gold medal and a new Scottish record!
• Jacob Caine announced that he will be shooting for team GB in Rovereto Italy, for the first event of the European Youth Cup.
• Sophie Castle got the first place at the Crystal Palace tournament.
• Lizzie Foster got silver at the Bowmen of Walker Mauritania shoot.
• Ben Gibson got the 1st place in LAC Spring 3D Competition 2018
• Brad Howe won silver at the Scottish Student Sports Outdoor Champs.
• Fiona Hirst came 1st in the 18m shoot at Glasgow and won the Northern Area ladies recurve.
• Bethany Sinclair placed second in her first Bristol 2 at the Crystal Palace tournament.
• Alex Smith had a more than reasonable start to the season, finishing 4th in the Veronica’s Cup, in Slovenia.
• Rebekah Tipping and Kate Dunnighan were part of the team that won silver at the same Veronica’s Cup, in Slovenia.
A great start of the season with lots of archers shooting PBs.
